KOI is a body of textured acrylic works built with modeling paste. Each piece channels motion through stillness—fluid, layered, and sculptural. Inspired by the myth of koi swimming upstream to become dragons, the series reflects themes of perseverance, emotional depth, ancestral connection, abundance, transformation, and romantic harmony. These pieces explore the memory held in water and the quiet power of in-betweenness.

Painted as atmospheric meditations, each CLOUD work captures internal weather—moments of wonder, quiet, and shifting form. Select pieces feature hand-applied glass Austrian crystals, forming constellations across canvas. The series draws inspiration from Texan sunsets viewed from rooftops, drifting cloudscapes during long drives, and the soft, impermanent beauty of the sky.

I’m a multidisciplinary, queer, AAPI artist born and raised (and currently based) in Austin, TX.
My work is rooted in intuition, guided by emotion and movement. With a background in design, strategy, and creative facilitation, I create art to invite play, connection, and reflection.
Each piece is a conversation between artist and canvas, unfolding naturally through layered abstraction. While every work stands on its own, many exist in dialogue—speaking to one another through shared forms, colors, and visual language. Together, they create a larger study on transformation, memory, and the emotional experiences that make us human.
